May is assessment season at Tonasket High School. We will have a lot of students taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) assessments in Math and English Language Arts and the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS). It's important that your students are here to take the tests. Our state has determined that all students must pass the tests to be able to graduate from High School. Students take the tests as Sophomores (ELA and Math) and Juniors (Science). If they can pass it the first time they take it, they will have less pressure to get it done as they finish up their education at High School. We have great kids and I know they are going to be trying really hard to get it done.
ELA test dates: May 1,2 and 4
Math test dates: May 8 and 15
Science test date: May 17
There are a lot of AP tests happening during the Month of May as well. Students that are taking AP classes know when their tests are. Our kids are extremely busy. We are on the home stretch for the end of the year. We have great kids. Thanks for sending them to Tonasket.
